Duties and Responsibilities
Background: The SDG Stories Team was established by ESCWA’s Executive Secretary to mainstream the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) amongst younger individuals in the Arab area through the use of the “ESCWA Stories” comedian e-book as an academic instrument. The workforce visits academic establishments, interacts with college students and academics and organizes actions and occasions for the promotion of the comedian e-book and its targets. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acting as point of interest between ESCWA, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO and the designated beneficiary colleges in Lebanon, in help of the “SDG Stories” Initiative. – Identifying 21 goal colleges to participate in the SDG Stories Initiative for the tutorial yr 2024-2025, by means of UNESCO and ALECSO’s Associated Schools Network in Lebanon. – Advising colleges and nationwide authorities and stakeholders in Lebanon on the adoption and implementation of actions associated to the SDGs. – Facilitating the circulation of knowledge between ESCWA and the designated beneficiary colleges in Lebanon. – Participating with the SDG Stories Team in their discipline visits to beneficiary colleges in Lebanon. – Assisting the SDG Stories Team in the planning and group of occasions related to the initiative, together with capability constructing classes for academics. – Exchanging experience with the SDG Stories Team and facilitating cooperation and partnership. – Contributing to the promotion of the SDGs, intergenerational dialogue, good citizenship and international management amongst academics, employees and college students taking part in the SDG Stories Initiative.
Qualifications/particular expertise
A acknowledged first degree diploma in training, sociology, psychology, social service, worldwide relations, political science or associated space is required. Note: “Fluency” equals a ranking of ‘fluent’ in all 4 areas (converse, learn, write, and perceive) and “Knowledge of” equals a ranking of ‘confident’ in two of the 4 areas.
