Applications at the moment are open for the 2025 Royal Society Rising Star Africa Prize. The Royal Society Rising Star Africa Prize is to recognise early-career research scientists based mostly in Africa who’re making an progressive contribution to the bodily, mathematical and engineering sciences. The prize was established in reminiscence of Paul O’Brien FRS and his work encouraging excellence in science and training in Africa. Winners will obtain a grant of £14,000 to assist their research and a private reward of £1,000.
Eligibility
- The Royal Society Rising Star Africa Prize is open to African residents.
- It is restricted to early profession scientists with not more than 15 years since reaching their PhD (not together with profession breaks) and nominations will stay legitimate and shall be thought of by the award choice committee all through three nomination cycles.
