The Obama Foundation Leaders Program is now accepting functions for its 2025-2026 cohort! This transformative initiative empowers rising leaders from authorities, civil society, and the personal sector who’ve demonstrated a dedication to advancing the widespread good.
Through this program, the Obama Foundation goals to encourage, empower, and join a various regional cohort of changemakers, equipping them to speed up optimistic, lasting change in their communities, areas, and throughout the globe.
What Is the Leaders Program?
Launched in Africa in 2018 and since expanded to Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the United States, the Leaders Program builds a community of modern, values-driven changemakers. Participants—aged 24 to 45—characterize a wide selection of sectors, fostering inclusive, thriving societies the place everybody belongs and can take part.
Inspired by President Obama’s management strategy, this system helps contributors:
- Develop a values-based basis for sustained management.
- Build relationships to drive lasting, inclusive change.
- Tackle systemic challenges in their communities.
Program Benefits
Participants interact in dynamic actions, together with:
- Weekly Virtual Video Calls: Interactive classes that includes professional conversations, management frameworks, skill-building, and small-group discussions.

Emerging changemakers from the Asia-Pacific area be a part of a thriving neighborhood of regional and world leaders.
Europe
A six-month management journey that connects up to 35 contributors yearly, specializing in shared values and regional transformation.
United States
A non-residential six-month program partaking leaders from throughout the nation in vital discussions and motion plans.
Who Should Apply?
Applicants should meet the next standards:
- Be a citizen, everlasting resident, or have resided in an African nation or territory for not less than 5 years.
- Focus on creating optimistic change in Africa or its native communities.
- Have not less than three years of related management expertise.
- Be proficient in English and between 24–45 years of age as of September 1, 2025.
Program Details
- Duration: September 2025 – May 2026 (with breaks).
- Commitment: Participants should chorus from taking part in electoral campaigns throughout this system.
- Location: Virtual, with potential for U.S.-based in-person programming.
