Applications are actually open for the 2025 Standard Bank Basali Development Programme. Since November 2021, Standard Bank in partnership with Giving Wings launched the Basali Development Programme. The title Basali (pronounced Basadi) is derived from Southern Sotho which suggests ‘women’. Requirements
Application Criteria:
- 51% or extra black women-owned companies (black as outlined by the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act).
- Be a full-time entrepreneur.
- The enterprise should be registered with CIPC.
- The beneficiary should be a South African citizen buying and selling in South Africa.
- Total annual income of lower than R10 million.
