- Office/Unit/Project Description
This place is positioned within the UNDSS subject workplace in Istanbul, Türkiye. Under the general steerage and supervision of the Field Security Coordination Officer (FSCO), the Field Security Associate (FSA) assists within the implementation of safety operations and all issues regarding the administration of security and safety for the UN personnel, UN premises, belongings, and operations within the Area of Responsibility (AoR).
The place is domestically administered by UNDP however is financed domestically by the LCSSB.

2. Scope of Work
   Under the direct supervision of the FSCO in Istanbul, the FSA will execute the duties and duties outlined under:
- Within the boundaries of delegated authority, the Field Security Associate is accountable for the next duties:
- Support the Area Security Advisor (ASA) in all points of safety administration, together with the SRM, safety plans, bodily safety assessments and recommendation on residential safety, amongst different actions within the Istanbul Security Area.

- Provide technical help on the preparation and convening of the Area Security Cell and the Area Security Management Team conferences;
- Assist in getting ready, sustaining and reviewing the Area Security Risk Management report and the Area Security Plan, together with the updating of the workers lists;
- Support actions in the course of the implementation of the Area Security Plan, as required.
- Assist with the monitoring of the implementation of the safety measures as advisable by the Security Risks Management (SRM) course of for the AoR.Â
- Assist in reporting safety incidents affecting UN personnel, workplaces and belongings, and help within the preparation of safety assessments and reviews, such because the Security Incident Report, and so on.Â
- Assist with sustaining the Security Communications System (SCS) within the responsibility station and manage and take part in common testing of the System; assist with planning and organising the SCS-relevant coaching coordinated by the ASA.
- Participate in joint bodily safety assessments of UNSMS Organization buildings or premises when vital and collaborate with the Organizations for procurement and set up steerage for safety gear advisable by the SRM.
