UNDP, in partnership with the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea and the Bougainville House of Representatives (BHOR), has commissioned a undertaking aiming at strengthening varied facets of each establishments. Recognizing the vital significance of each establishments to democratic governance, the Parliamentary Strengthening Project – Papua New Guinea and Bougainville, (herein the ‘Project’) works with each legislatures to:
- Support Members of the BHOR and National Parliament legislature to extra successfully use their parliamentary powers to interact in debate and oversight of nationwide growth actions, regarding vital subjects reminiscent of bettering public monetary administration, gender equality, lowering poverty by means of inclusive financial growth, and constructing catastrophe and local weather resilience, specifically by means of the use of Parliamentary Committees.

The BHOR Specialist might be required to supply the next companies at least:

- Guide and assist BHOR parliamentary company planning and associated Secretariat growth actions.Â
- Facilitate the nationwide, regional, and worldwide switch of know-how and experiences within the space of parliamentary growth.Â
