Are you a passionate younger chief keen to sort out local weather challenges and empower your neighborhood? The Global Youth Climate Network (GYCN), an initiative by the Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y) Community of younger professionals on the World Bank Group, in collaboration with Connect4Climate (C4C), invitations you to apply for the 2025 Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program (MTECAP).
This six-month on-line program is designed to empower younger leaders from across the globe to take significant local weather motion whereas connecting with like-minded friends and studying from main local weather consultants.
What the Program Offers
The Max Thabiso Edkins Climate Ambassador Program gives a distinctive platform to:
- Connect: Engage with a world community of youth leaders and local weather change advocates.
- Learn: Participate in interactive classes led by World Bank consultants, GYCN, Y2Y, and C4C Knowledge Partners. Gain insights from the World Bank Group Climate Change Action Plan and develop expertise to deal with climate-related challenges.
- Act: Implement tangible local weather actions in your neighborhood with steerage and assist from this system crew.
Participants will profit from a mix of technical coaching and hands-on studying, equipping them with instruments to talk local weather options successfully. By the tip of this system, ambassadors will likely be required to full three local weather actions of their neighborhood and attend a set variety of studying classes. Successful contributors will obtain a Certificate of Completion.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should meet the next standards:
- Age: 18–35 years outdated.
- Language: Strong conversational English expertise.
- Access: Reliable web connection.
In addition, candidates will likely be evaluated on:
- Youth Leadership: Past or present management roles on the native, regional, nationwide, or world stage.
- Community Engagement: Experience in organizing neighborhood actions is a bonus.
- Climate Passion: Commitment to local weather options and sustainable growth.
- Initiative: Proven skill to act independently and encourage others.
- Network: Strength of social media presence and skill to mobilize networks.
- Proposed Impact: Potential to create significant contributions of their neighborhood.

- Ineligibility: Previous ambassadors are usually not eligible to apply.
