About UNOY
UNOY Peacebuilders is a worldwide youth-led community, connecting over 120 organizations in 70+ nations. From our worldwide secretariat in The Hague, we work to amplify the voices of younger peacebuilders and promote youth-led approaches to creating peaceable societies.
Since the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2250, we’ve championed the position of youth in peacebuilding. As we progress by means of our 2021–2025 strategic plan, we stay dedicated to defending civic areas, fostering inventive options, and resourcing younger peacebuilders with the instruments they should thrive.
The Role: Co-Director (Programmes)
As Co-Director, you’ll play a significant position in main the implementation of UNOY’s programmes, driving advocacy initiatives, overseeing human assets, and co-leading our dynamic community. This full-time place (40 hours per week) is predicated in The Hague, requiring in-office presence at least 50% of the time.
Your Key Responsibilities
Leadership:
- Co-lead the group alongside the Co-Director (Strategy).
- Supervise group members and facilitate International Secretariat workers conferences.
- Represent UNOY externally, making certain alignment with our imaginative and prescient and strategic targets.
Programmes:
- Oversee international and regional programme implementation.
- Supervise programme leads, making certain adherence to gender and safety methods.
Advocacy:
- Drive international advocacy efforts, have interaction with UN companies and governments, and symbolize UNOY in related fora.
- Evaluate and improve advocacy programme outcomes.
Fundraising:
- Collaborate on figuring out and pursuing funding alternatives.
- Lead programmatic contributions for grant proposals.
Communications:
- Guide the communications group to amplify UNOY’s influence and visibility.
Human Resources:
- Develop and implement HR insurance policies, lead recruitment processes, and foster an inclusive working setting.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- A related bachelor’s diploma (e.g., peace and battle research, worldwide relations).
- At least 3 years of expertise in peacebuilding, advocacy, or a associated discipline.
- Strong mission administration and fundraising abilities.
- Commitment to decolonizing peacebuilding and fostering inclusion.
- Excellent English communication abilities.
Preferred:
- Leadership or administration expertise.
- Familiarity with intergovernmental organizations (e.g., UN, EU, AU).
- Multilingual abilities (French, Spanish, Arabic most popular).
- Public talking and facilitation experience.
