Eisenhower Fellowships (EF) is excited to announce the 2025 Southeast Asia Program, inviting 20-25 exceptional leaders from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam to join a nearly six-week transformational fellowship experience in the United States.
This prestigious program combines in-person and virtual components, offering Fellows the opportunity to:
- Develop impactful projects.
- Build professional relationships with U.S. counterparts and peers.
- Collaborate dynamically within the renowned EF network of over 2,500 Fellows from 115 countries.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship and Residency: Must hold citizenship or have resided for at least five years in one of the seven eligible Southeast Asian countries where EF is active. (Applicants living in the U.S. are ineligible.)
- For candidates from Southeast Asia countries where EF is not active, applicants must demonstrate regional impact and submit a letter of recommendation from an EF network member.
- Age: Priority is given to candidates aged 32-45 (flexible based on exceptional qualifications).
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English is required.
- Commitment: Must secure employer approval for leave and commit full-time during the program, tentatively set from late September to early November 2025.
Additional Considerations
- Leadership and Impact: Fellows are selected based on their track record, future potential, and dedication to advancing EF’s mission of fostering international understanding and collaboration.
- Travel Restrictions: Children are not allowed on fellowship, and EF does not fund spousal travel.
- Prior Fellowships: Applicants who participated in any fellowship within the past two years are ineligible.
- Application Essays: Use of generative AI/ChatGPT is strictly prohibited in essay submissions; suspected use will result in disqualification.
