The African Union Commission’s Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) – Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme is now accepting applications for its prestigious 5th cohort. This transformative programme equips senior public health professionals from African Union Member States with advanced leadership and strategic skills to drive impactful public health initiatives across the continent.
Programme Highlights
Since its inception on May 25, 2020, in collaboration with the Kofi Annan Foundation, the programme has trained and empowered 59 alumni from over 20 AU Member States, with 25 more fellows currently undergoing training. Graduates of this programme have led significant public health initiatives, replicated leadership models within institutions, and advanced to senior government and institutional roles.

Who Should Apply?
The programme targets senior public health professionals who meet the following criteria:
- Hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
- Have at least 10 years of professional experience in public health.
- Demonstrate proven leadership ability or strong potential to lead.
Applicants from underrepresented groups, including women and professionals in sexual and reproductive health or mental health, are encouraged to apply.
