About the Internship
Position Overview
- Position: Evaluation and Learning Intern
- Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid)
- Duration: June 10 – August 13, 2025
- Compensation: Paid Internship
- Reports To: Senior Learning Officer
The Evaluation and Learning Internship offers hands-on experience in evaluation and learning processes, with an emphasis on project management, research, data analysis, and facilitation. As an intern, you’ll support staff learning initiatives, assist with project planning, and contribute to real-time data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Assist in managing ongoing projects related to evaluation and learning initiatives.
- Research and Presentation: Conduct research, develop presentations, and assist with preparing internal and external learning sessions.
- Writing and Facilitation Support: Provide writing assistance for reports and facilitate learning spaces and team meetings.
- Data and Learning Requests: Support staff with data analysis and learning requests to inform decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Attend biweekly team meetings and relevant Foundation events to understand the work of the Office of Evaluation and Learning.
- Shadowing Opportunities: Gain insights into various staff roles and responsibilities across the Foundation.
Active projects during the summer will include planning and preparation for General Discourse and learning spaces, involving teamwork, partner meetings, and event management.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in nonprofit management, public policy, social sciences, public health, or related fields.

Skills:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Interest in evaluation, learning, data analysis, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in internet research and social media.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to team projects.
- Additional Qualities: Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to the Foundation’s mission through evaluation and data-driven strategies.
