The Call for Expression of Interest seeks to identify national, non-profit, rural civil society organisations or universities as potential Implementing Partners for UN-Habitat operations. These partners would be expected to provide complementary resources, such as human resources, knowledge, funds, in-kind contributions, supplies, and/or equipment, to help achieve shared goals as listed below and later agreed upon in an Agreement of Cooperation.

Goal of CFP

  • To carry out a project in Uganda that would enhance men, women, and youth’s access to tenure security and sustainable land use on customary land using participatory methods in the Kyoga plains and Mt. Elgon regions.

Project Locations and Important Details

  • There are three (3) agro-producing zones in Uganda: the Kyoga Plains (Zone 2: Lowland rice production area), the Mt. Elgon Region (Zone 3: Upland and Potato producing Area), and the South-Western Uganda (Zone 1: Potato Production Area). The project will also operate in a single district in Uganda’s West Nile region.
  • Particular Locations in Kyoga Plains for the Butaleja District Call for Proposals.
  • District of Mbale in the Mount Elgon Area

Eligibility

  • Proof of registration in the country of origin, often known as the certificate of registration or incorporation.
  • Evidence of the operating nation’s registration
  • Evidence of the nation’s operational presence
  • An organization’s vision, mission, and objectives should be clearly indicated in its profile and organisational structure.
  • Organisational structure
  • The Corporate Secretary’s or a similar document’s proper certification of the Governing Board members and their designations
  • Evidence of professional association membership, if applicable.

Note

  • Organisations who express interest in the position must submit documentation proving their suitability for the work (brochure, examples of comparable assignments, prior experience in comparable settings, staff members with the necessary abilities, etc.).
  • The guidelines must be followed in order for the CFP and any supporting documentation to be received. CFPs sent to email addresses other than the ones above will not be taken into consideration.
  • CFP from applicants who do not supply all necessary information to meet the minimum qualifying requirements will be regarded as non-responsive.
  • CFPs received beyond the stated cutoff date won’t be taken into account.
  • The selection process for organisations will follow the guidelines provided in the UN-Habitat IP Management policy and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • CFP from applicants who do not submit the necessary data will be ignored.
  • UN-Habitat makes no financial or other commitments in connection with this CFP. UN-Habitat maintains the right to approve or reject any or all proposals without having to provide a reason or notification to the applicant(s) who may be impacted.
  • USD must be used for all prices.
