Engineers without a job who have recently graduated are invited to apply for a two-year trainee position at Technical Marketing Services (TMS). The graduate trainee positions are non-permanent employment (NPE) roles designed to give aspiring engineers the chance to work in the Technical Marketing Services (TMS) environment and obtain valuable work experience. As members of a technical support team, the engineering graduate trainees will perform standard tasks such as technical investigations, product and applications research, customer product solution development and maintenance, assisting engineers with small project implementation, and tracking and reporting customer operating status. Therefore, this programme should not be mistaken with the Sasol Graduate Development Programme; rather, it provides an opportunity for “on the job” training inside the TMS context. Typically, engineering trainees will be given tasks in the TMS area to complete under the guidance of an experienced team member. Tasks may include the following:
Description of Recruitment / Principal Responsibilities
- Analyse maintenance data to develop and implement strategies and plans for maintenance.
- Examine the performance report, status report, FMC payment, and site visit reports from the FMC contractors.
- Perform impromptu technical research or study
- Create and carry out plans and strategies for project execution.
- Verify that the entire project complies with the SHE, QCC, & Schedule execution plan.
- Keep an eye on the proper implementation of project governance on projects.
- Make certain that every risk is recognised, evaluated, and reduced to a manageable level.
Official Schooling
- Minimum degree earned within the last three years: B. Eng. or BSC Eng.
- Mini Experience
- Prior work experience is not necessary.
