MTN Uganda Limited is dedicated to launching the Advancing Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) project in collaboration with MTN Mobile Money Uganda Limited, American Tower Company, UN Women, dfcu Bank, Innovation Village, and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) HI Innovators. This project aims to strengthen the position of female entrepreneurs in the technology industry.

The following is the agreement between you and MTN Uganda Limited and governs the Advancing Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) project. The rights and obligations exercised under the Project are fully defined in these Terms and Conditions.
You attest that you have read these terms and conditions and that you agree to be bound by them by signing below or completing your application on the MTN website. You cannot take part in the project if you disagree with any element of these terms and conditions.
Time Frame
- The Campaign will begin on October 2, 2023, and end on November 1, 2026, for a total of three years.
Application and Entry
- We understand that the project’s goal is to support female entrepreneurs in the technology industry.
- Since we are aware of the nature of the project, we hereby consent to the recording and use of our contribution in line with the terms and conditions specified here, by accepting the Terms and Conditions.
- The Advancing Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Project does not charge an admission fee.
- A project that is entered more than once will be disqualified.
- All applications MUST be submitted online via the MTN website, www.mtn.co.ug, and a completed application form.
Eligibility
- To participate, all applicants must be at least eighteen years old.
- All Ugandan women business owners are welcome to take part.
Female entrepreneurs operating the following businesses are eligible to apply for the initiative.
- Companies with Limited Liability
- Single-person businesses
- Combined Venture Companies
- Commercial Associations
Criminal histories will automatically disqualify an applicant.
Selection Criteria for Projects
- It would be requested of the candidates to take part in the following procurement technology categories:
- IT hardware and associated services
- Network offerings
- Electronic goods and add-ons
- Services for engineersServices for qualified training
- Applications MUST be submitted by November 1, 2023, at 5 p.m.
