The Ttaala Digital Skills building Workshop 2023/2024 is accepting submissions from Uganda-based human rights organisation.

Ttaala is a thorough project that equips human rights defenders (HRDs) with new skills by introducing them to the realm of digital tools and tactics.
Over the course of the workshop’s four days, the participating companies will have access to on-site technical support, ongoing virtual support, and a network of creative mentors.
For intensive training and networking on how to strategically use digital tools across the spectrum of data management, content development, digital security, and running live online campaigns and/or digital platforms, this exceptional opportunity brings together human rights organisations from across Uganda.
Ttaala emphasises long-term effects from organisational reform. Participants and their businesses need to be able to learn quickly and have the capacity and dedication to get the most out of the curriculum.
Benefits
- Over the course of four days, participants will be able to participate in the workshop. To guarantee that the learning is suited to the needs of the group, the curriculum was jointly established by all participating groups and DefendDefenders.
- Throughout the workshop, the organisations will define and work on their own projects, receiving support and mentoring to help them realise their goals.
- In addition, participants will join their alumni network, which will give them access to mentors, creatives, a mailing list, e-learning opportunities, and priority at upcoming events.
- DefendDefenders will pay all expenses associated with making the online workshop accessible.
eligibility
- Candidates should: Submit an application on behalf of a Uganda-based, actively involved human rights organisation.
- Own a digital project or concept they would want to contribute to the workshop.
- Have the necessary staff and internal technical resources dedicated to the workshop.
- Have a need for advocacy strategies and results that are data-driven.
- Possess complete organisational backing for staff participation; and
- Be willing to experiment and learn about new digital tools and ideas.
