Job Synopsis:
One of the most important members of the Kiryandongo team, the Finance Assistant will help the field accomplish its financial goals. The Finance Assistant oversees the department’s accounts payable operations and keeps up the cash books under the supervision of the Senior Finance Officer.
obligations and liabilities
- Make vouchers for monetary transactions.
- Examine and approve transaction voucher forms.
- monthly prepaid JVs are ready for publishing.
- Refill the petty cash when it falls below the minimal limit, keep an eye on the petty cash account register, and make sure the petty cash is reconciled.
- Send monthly and weekly petty cash reports to the finance manager and senior finance officer.
- Keep an eye on your vouchers for cash payments and invoicing.
- Proceed with all bank and cash payments in accordance with the authorization granted.
- To the payee in the Kiryandongo Office, give cash.
- Get checks ready for the payee’s approval and payment.
- Monitor cash transfers and in-transit situations.
- Serve as a cashier.
- Pay for field work.
- Make sure that all currency transactions adhere to IRC regulations and procedures.
- Make sure office stationary is used and controlled.
- Collaborate closely with the administration to increase field visitor hotel reservations.
- Help the administrative officer keep track of each employee’s timesheets.
- Create and manage a field office filling system that is effective.
Requirements
Experience, Education, and Talents.
- a diploma with five years of experience, or a degree with comparable experience in accounting, business administration, commerce, or finance
- a minimum of one year of experience in the finance department.
- Working with NGOs in the past is recommended but not required.
- the capacity to multitask and operate under duress.
- aptitude for details.
- capable of efficient communication.
- strong attention to detail and organizing abilities.
- high proficiency with computers (MS Word, Excel,
- Must be able to work and prioritize various projects in a complicated, loosely structured work environment with ease.
