Citizens of Commonwealth nations in Africa can now apply to the esteemed Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellowship programme.

The fellowship, which was established in 2022, provides a singular forum for cybersecurity specialists from Commonwealth nations in Africa to share information, build relationships, and have an impact on the Commonwealth Secretariat’s policymaking.
For a year, selected specialists will serve as fellows. They get exclusive access to conferences, networking events, and academic research opportunities with a focus on improving cybersecurity laws and institutions in Commonwealth nations in Africa.
eligibility criteria
- Between the ages of 21 and 65,
- Any African citizen of a Commonwealth nation may seek to join the fellowship.
- Additionally, candidates must have at least five years of experience working in the disciplines of law, politics, telecommunications, academia, or other related fields in cybersecurity.

- By 23:59 GMT on December 10, 2023, applicants must send the following materials to cyber@commonwealth.int.

- A letter of recommendation from their particular organisation
- The Commonwealth Africa Fellowship initiative, funded by the United Kingdom’s International Development Office, is currently in its second cycle.
