Objective of Work

  • To offer technical guidance and support for the creation, upkeep, and upgrading of the ECOSOCC website in order to enhance communication and awareness of the Organization and the African Union as a whole.

Principal Tasks

  • Offering guidance to ensure that the AU’s goals, tenets, and policies are effectively translated into practical programs and that those programs are evaluated.
  • Conducting research and offering suggestions
  • Supporting the advancement and accomplishment of the AU’s goals and objectives
  • Supporting the advancement of gender equality, child rights, the rule of law, good governance, and human rights
  • Endorsing and assisting institutions working to reassess Africa’s future and develop pan-African values in order to improve the continent’s social structure and way of life
  • Strengthening and expanding the alliance between CSOs and the AU
  • Taking up responsibilities delegated to it by other AU organizations.

Particular Obligations

  • Maintain the ECOSOCC website by updating and backing it up, as well as by regularly adding new content and updating pages that already exist to keep it engaging and new.
  • Create the Style Guide for the ECOSOCC Website.
  • Create site-wide guidelines for all ECOSOCC websites and social media accounts in order to create a unified style guide and layout.
  • Create logos, brochures, magazines, posters, and a plethora of other items to graphically convey concepts and information.
  • Create examples of art arrangements, sizes, types, and styles to demonstrate concepts, then submit them for approval.
  • Provide training to other ECOSOCC employees on the use of the online features and content management system (CMS).
  • Ensure that every page on the ECOSOCC website is search engine optimized to increase traffic.
  • Monitor every visitor to your website and provide frequent analytical reports that illustrate spikes and dips in traffic.
  • Expertise in using the necessary desktop publishing software.
  • Possess an awareness of corporate branding, marketing, production, multimedia design, product packaging, and website design.
  • Create and cultivate positive working relationships with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders in a way that advances ECOSOCC’s exposure.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities that may be given to you in order to further the goals and carry out the ECOSOCC’s mission.

Academic prerequisites and pertinent work experience

  • Five (5) years of steadily increasing job experience in a relevant field after earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline from an accredited university
  • Candidates holding a master’s degree must have progressed through the ranks of the workforce in a relevant field for at least two years.
  • Functional familiarity with operating systems and programming languages.
  • Familiarity with website administration software.
  • An understanding of cyber and IT security.
  • Knowledgeable about the practices and operations of civil society.

Needed Proficiency

  • Proficiency in online marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the capacity to effectively set priorities, and the ability to collaborate with other professionals to accomplish tasks by the deadline

ASSESSMENT TERMINATION:

  • The position will be filled for a length of three (3) years on a normal term contract, with the first year serving as a probationary period. for that, the contract will be renewable for two years if sufficient performance and deliverables are made.

RECOGNITION:

  • A housing allowance of US$ 16,819.80 per year, an education allowance (100% of tuition and other education-related expenses for every eligible dependent up to a maximum of US$ 10,000.00 per child per year) for locally recruited staff, and an indicative basic salary of US$ 31,073.00 (P2 Step1) per year for internationally recruited staff, along with other related entitlements.
