A crucial component of the Renewed Hope agenda, the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme aims to strengthen Nigeria’s technical talent base in order to drive our digital economy and establish Nigeria as a net talent exporter. Numerous stakeholders, including fellows, training providers, partners, and placement agencies, will be involved in the program’s initial phase, which will be carried out in partnership with NITDA.

Together with NITDA, the program’s initial phase will be carried out using a fellowship format. We will choose people who are interested in learning particular skills and pay for their training through programmes that accept training providers.

The program’s initial phase will centre on the following twelve (12) technical skills:
- Application Development
- Designing UI/UX
- Data Visualisation and Analysis
- Quality Control
- Product Administration
- Information Animation
- Machine learning and AI
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud Computing for Game Development
- Def Ops
Programme Specifics
- The courses being provided at this period will typically last three (3) months.
- The training is hybrid, which means that both online and in-person components are included. While the majority of the training can be completed online, some of it will need to be done in person.
- Each applicant will undergo an admission assessment to determine their competence threshold. This will also be taken into account when choosing the best course for fellows.
Financials
- The cost of training will be the only source of funding for this stage of the initiative. Participants are responsible for all expenses, including travel and food.
