The Governor’s Award Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship is now accepting applications. For postdoctoral research in macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, financial markets and institutions, labour economics, and economic growth, the Governor’s Award Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship is offered in Canada. You must submit your application by November 30, 2023, or earlier. The award is open to Canadian citizens and legal residents.

The Governor’s Award provides financial assistance to academics who are recognised for their expertise and research in areas essential to the Bank’s fundamental obligations.
Benefits
- The Fully Funded Governor’s prize Bank of Canada Funded Scholarship in Canada will provide a $30,000 annual research prize for up to two years.
Eligibility
- Candidates for the Governor’s Award must be either Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or have some type of legal right to work in Canada.
- Conduct and support economics and finance research in Canada (candidates where the majority of the research is done in Canada may also be taken into consideration)
- Possess a PhD within ten years of their nomination and be working as an associate or assistant professor for a Canadian university throughout the duration of the Award.
