The Climate Ambition to Accountability Project (CAAP) oversees the technical and financial support programme known as the Partnership Incubation Funding. The incubation money is intended to help South African community-based, youth, and civil society organisations conceptualise cutting-edge partnership models that support climate governance, mitigation, and adaptation.
For the purposes of this Call, innovation is defined as any good practise that advances the ideals of openness, honesty, responsibility, and citizen participation while fostering democracy and good governance. At its core, innovation is a novelty (a practise, model, or service that did not previously exist or was not employed) for the organisation or institution in which it is used, and it has/has the potential to have a measurable public impact in the neighbourhood.
The European Union’s Climate Change Champions Programme and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency together support the Climate Ambition to Accountability Project (CAAP). The Institute for Economic Justice, Climate Action Network South Africa, and WWF South Africa are carrying out the project.
