Objectives and the mission
The UNDP works in 170 nations and territories to end poverty and lessen inequality as the leading UN agency for international development. - The UN Youth Volunteer will work on the following projects directly under the direct supervision of the Governance Programme Manager:
- By helping to develop concept notes, project documents, annual workplans, TORs, taking minutes, communications, updating the website, and coordinating with partners, support personnel working on the governance portfolio;
- assistance with coordination with partners in the aforementioned portfolios;
- assist the gender specialist in ensuring that the governance portfolio mainstreams gender;
- aid with taking notes during governance meetings, and follow up on action items;
- assist with analytical tasks as required;
- assistance with recording obstacles and lessons learned;
- tracking of the governance portfolio’s results in collaboration with the M & E team to support annual reporting;
- support the communications analyst, promote governance work on social media and other venues;
- any additional responsibilities the Governance Programme Manager assigns

- Only citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia may apply because this assignment is supported by that nation. necessary expertise
- a minimum of three months’ experience in the social sciences, international relations, public management, or a comparable discipline;
- understanding of project/program planning, execution, and monitoring;
- a working knowledge of office suites and computers, as well as a working knowledge of web-based management tools;
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and visualization, trend identification, report preparation, results communication, and product development is preferred;
- English proficiency in both written and spoken form, as well as writing and synthesis skills;
- Studies, volunteer work, internships, and prior volunteer experience in another culture would all be highly welcomed;
