To improve wildlife research, habitat monitoring, and environmental preservation, Wildlife Acoustics is providing a grant programme. With the help of the quarterly funding programme, researchers can better understand bats, birds, amphibians, and other vocal species thanks to bioacoustics research instruments.

What It Does
Grant for Standard Product
- Every quarter, selected grant recipients from all over the world may get up to $12,000 worth of suitable products from Wildlife Acoustics. Individual applicants may submit requests for up to $4,000 worth of product and software licences per quarter. On the website and on social media, they will feature grant recipients and their projects.
Grant from Kaleidoscope Pro-Only
- Streamlined software for people who only want Kaleidoscope Pro
- For qualified candidates, limitless Kaleidoscope Pro licences
- Annual, one-year subscriptions issued on a quarterly basis
- Candidates may reapply.
- Grant beneficiaries must be connected to a nonprofit, educational, governmental, or other tax-exempt organisation. Projects that significantly and creatively utilise recordings of wildlife vocalisations for data collection and/or analysis will be taken into consideration.
- The project contributes to long-term conservation while advancing scientific understanding.
- The success of the project would be greatly influenced by the grant.
- The application offers sufficient details for project evaluation, including specific predicted results and the requirement for bioacoustics data to support those results.
- Within a year of receiving the prize, the project must start.
Requirements
If you are awarded a grant, you must:
- Give your grant acceptance in writing.
- Keep in touch with Wildlife Acoustics to provide: periodic project updates (Standard Product Grant) for the duration of your project;
- For the length of the project, each Kaleidoscope Pro licence issued will receive one annual project update (Kaleidoscope Pro-Only Grant).
- In any presentations, meetings, publications, and/or materials mentioning or resulting from the project, whenever feasible, acknowledge the sponsorship of Wildlife Acoustics, Inc.
- Within two months of the project’s conclusion (or, if it was a component of a broader biodiversity project, within two months of the bioacoustics portion or phase), submit the final report.
