The Road to Growth Programme 2023 for women business owners in Oyo and Ogun State who desire to experience increased confidence and capacity in business has been launched by the FATE Foundation in collaboration with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and other sponsors provide funding for the programme. Road to Growth gives women business owners in low- and middle-income nations the networks, business expertise, and self-assurance they need to expand their companies.

The programme intends to assist 100 female entrepreneurs operating enterprises in the states of Oyo and Ogun in overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

Course Organisation

  • The Road to Growth Programme is a 7 Week Hybrid Programme that will be delivered using cutting-edge classroom management systems for 8–10 hours per week on the Learning Management System (LMS), Virtual Class sessions, WhatsApp Group sessions, and In-Person sessions.
  • In order to provide participants the flexibility they need to manage their businesses while taking part in the curriculum, lectures will be presented in modules.

The following modules will make up the program’s core:

  • Connections (Road to Growth Introduction)
  • Understanding Your Market in Context
  • Information exchange (Digital Marketing)
  • capacity (understanding your industry)
  • (Regarding Financing) Capital
  • Character (Relationships with Money)
  • Having faith when applying for financing
  • Participants will be creating growth strategies as the workshops go along and, as appropriate, implementing them into their individual businesses.

Requirements

Women business owners who:

  • Have a business that has been profitable for at least two years
  • Have three to ninety employees
  • Have a basic understanding of computers
  • Can read and write English
  • Have a strong desire and commitment to expand their business(es)
  • Have not previously had access to loans and have a need for additional investment.

Application Method

  • Stage I: Interested candidates may submit their applications by clicking the Apply button on our Application Platform (SOAR).
  • Stage II: Candidates will be shortlisted for a 10-minute phone/video interview after all applications have been reviewed, and 35 will be chosen for the Ogun cohort and 30 for the Oyo cohort of the programme.
  • All entrepreneurs that successfully grow through the two application phases are eligible for FREE participation in the project thanks to a collaboration and assistance from the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and other partners. All direct course fees, including textbooks, course materials, data support, and post-program assistance, are covered by this scholarship.
  • Since this is a hybrid training, it is required that each entrepreneur participating in the programme be from the region or state from which you have submitted your programme application. Additionally, during the shortlisting and selection process, this will be confirmed.
