The Youth Climate Justice Fund Grant application period for 2023 is currently open.
The young Climate Justice Fund provides emerging young climate justice collectives with basic flexible funding. With resources, trust-based finance, and youth-to-youth capacity building, they assist young climate justice movements.

Climate and socio-environmental justice are centered on youth-led climate justice movements. The YCJF promotes bold, equitable, and long-lasting changes all across the world. Youth climate movements are a driving force for change, from spearheading a sizable socio-environmental movement in 2018 to pressing authorities to keep their pledges every day.
Grant
For a grant of up to $10,000 USD that can be spent over the course of a year, groups can apply.
Eligibility
- The people in charge of your group or collective are all under 35 years old.
- Your organization’s leadership must be dominated by young people, or the persons who have the capacity to make decisions must be 35 years of age or younger, in order to qualify for a YCJF grant.
- Your organization, network, or collective is based in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific.
- You support and practice intersectional movement building, collective action, and inclusive organizing.
- Your organization, network, or collective is based in North America or Western Europe, but it is run by young people who experience marginalization due to their background, class, ethnicity, or other factors.
- movements that are lawful, non-violent, and non-partisan.
- They seek out groupings that are especially:
- the development of diverse leadership based on just and equitable climate action with community power.
- Increasing aspirations and commitments for socio-environmental justice and the climate.
- ensuring that politicians keep their pledges and boosting local authority.
