The chosen fellows will have the chance to host guest episodes of podcasts, choose future guests and themes, form alliances with other content creators and distributors, and expand their research and alliance networks. Non-resident fellows from Ufahamu Africa work remotely over nine months to create the equivalent of four episodes. Along with helping to develop the season 8 content, distribution concepts, mashup collaborations, and other podcast production choices, fellows will also be requested to join the editorial team.

A $3,500 USD stipend will be given to fellows to cover their internet data bills and their time spent on the fellowship.
