For its 2023 Humanitarian Aid Program, the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation is now accepting applications.

In order to save lives, advance human welfare, and lessen suffering, the ISTAT Foundation Humanitarian Aid Program offers grant financing to humanitarian groups around the world.
Funding
- The ISTAT Foundation aims to offer grant money of up to US$10,000 to humanitarian organizations through the Humanitarian Aid Program.
Eligibility requirements
- organizations with charitable non-governmental registrations that work to prevent, respond to, and/or recover from aviation-related natural disasters (drought, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc.);
- human-generated disasters (conflict, social unrest, industrial/transport accidents, etc.); or health-related crises.
Additional factors:
The Humanitarian Committee will give priority to aviation-related projects or programs this year that fall into one of three categories:
- (1) those with a geographic focus in underdeveloped or developing regions,
- (2) those with innovations in environmental impact (ESG), or
- (3) those in urban mobility, such as the “last-mile” provision in disaster relief.
There is a yearly limit of one application per organization. - Recipients from previous years are eligible to apply in succeeding years.
Only if the proposed program or activity is carried out by the umbrella organization itself may umbrella organizations submit an application for a humanitarian aid grant. - They do not support for-profit endeavors, political, religious, or capital infrastructure.
As a point of comparison, the average humanitarian donation in 2021 was worth more than US$7,000. - English-language application materials must be sent.
