The 6th iteration of the New Dimensions Lab, which brings together diverse, interdisciplinary African artists to create tales expressed through creative technology with top industry mentors, is now accepting applications.
Electric South is pleased to host The New Dimensions Lab, which is also sponsored by the Ford Foundation and the National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa.
Over the course of a week, artists workshop their creative projects at The Lab in South Africa, where they participate in debates and master courses.
They will be inviting several mentors to discuss the ethical and responsible usage of artificial intelligence in the production of XR work for the sixth edition.
Successful candidates are curious, work well in teams, take an experimental approach, and aim for perfection when putting their ideas into practice.
Three of the participants will get financial assistance for the production of their work after the Lab, and Electric South fully pays all associated travel, lodging, and meal expenses for participants.
They have a wide range of creative interests, including visual arts, cinema, game design, photography, theater, and more.
