Call for Participants: Supporting Young Content Creators in the Design and Production of Digital Media |

A one-year long digital skills training and incubation initiative called the Content Catalyst initiative is being carried out by the French Embassy in Uganda in collaboration with the Media Challenge Initiative (MCI). The program’s codename is “Supporting Young Content Creators in the Design and Production of Digital Media.”

This program, supported by the French Embassy in Uganda through the French Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (FSPI), aims to empower young Ugandans who create digital content so they can become self-employed and establish long-lasting companies in their neighborhoods.

This will strengthen France’s dedication to assisting Uganda’s cultural, creative, and digital industries.

15 outstanding and seasoned young content creators from Uganda’s urban areas will receive thorough skill development, training, mentoring, and business incubation through the project.

Participants will learn valuable production techniques and how to create high-quality, commercially viable media material during the program.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Young, seasoned content creators with experience are required to apply (include influencers, bloggers, authors, podcasters, creatives, animators, cartoonists, graphic designers, etc.).
  • Must be Ugandan nationals who live in or near Uganda’s urban areas.
  • Must provide proof of current content projects.
  • With a strong interest in or focus on any of the following topics: fashion, culture, tourism, social change, sports, and gender equality, content ideas should go beyond videography and photography.
  • a strong sense of leadership and communication.
  • Note
  • Participants who have been shortlisted should be available for in-person interviews on August 17 and 18, 2023.
  • Application is recommended for women.
  • Participants will be chosen and notified in detail on August 15, 2023.
