African Union CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training 2023 | Deadline: The 31st of July 2023
The African Union CIEFFA Online Capacity Building Training 2023 is now accepting applications. An initiative of the African Union CIEFFA and ImpactHer, this fully funded training program aims to provide gender-responsive and cutting-edge curricula that can improve Africans’ skills and capacities in the areas of STEAM, digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, as well as build teachers’ capacity to teach these subjects effectively.

The course is titled “#AfricaEducatesHer – Digital Skills for All: Bridging the Gender Gap in STEAM, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship.” The Online Youth Capacity Building Training Program (OYCBT)’s pilot phase finished in June 2023, and the program’s second phase will start in August and last through December. It is available to everyone who wants to improve their digital, entrepreneurial, and financial literacy capacities.
Training Format
It is a one-month long, rigorous training program that includes:
- 2 weeks of digital literacy
- 1 week of entrepreneurship
- One week of financial literacy
- You can enroll in one or both of these courses. However, prospective students are highly encouraged to submit applications for all three courses.
Benefits
- Learn about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and digital skills.
- Receive a certificate for each of the following programs: digital skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial literacy. Participants must attend at least 60% of the training sessions in order to receive certificates for each program.
- Join the ImpactHER and CIEFFA networks of the African Union.
- Boost your chances of being selected by the African Union CIEFFA for fully sponsored in-person events.
- Online training provided with full funding by ImpactHER
Eligibility
- Applicant must be African, either male or female;
- Being able to exhibit a desire to learn about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and digital skills;
- Has leadership qualities, aspirations, and a dedication to the advancement of women’s and girls’ education;
- Have a device (laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet) and access to a reliable internet connection;
- Possess a thorough command of one of the languages used in the course; French, English, or Portuguese;
- hold citizenship in Africa and reside there or anywhere else in the globe.

The deadline for applications is July 23, 2023. August 2023 will mark the start of the program.
