The High School Summit application period is currently open. The High School Summit is a yearly hybrid event that unites high school students from all over Africa and gives them the inspiration, knowledge, and tools they need to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond.

The summit offers a distinctive and exciting venue for young changemakers to meet, learn, and take action. Through interactive workshops, keynote speeches by outstanding thought leaders, and chances for networking and collaboration.

The purpose of holding this event is to provide young people the tools they need to make change on their own. Young people, in the opinion of the organizers, have the potential to affect social change, and by providing them with the tools and resources they need, they can actually change the world.

Participants in the High School Summit will examine a range of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-related subjects. Including eradicating poverty, combating climate change, and increasing educational access. They will get knowledge about cutting-edge solutions used in many regions of the globe and have the chance to come up with their own concepts for improving their communities.

Student Action for Sustainable Development is the summit’s theme.

Eligibility

Open to all African high school students, youth, teachers, administrators, and institutions of higher education.
Be prepared to contribute and work with others at the summit.
Event Date & Location

On August 3 and 4, 2023, the High School Summit will take place. Online through Zoom is used on the first day. The next day is a hybrid day. The location is located at 2 Obohia Road, across from CKC School in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. Please write to the organizers at communitieswillconnect@gmail.com if you plan to come in person.
