Are you pursuing a degree in IT and digital media? Is it contagious if you love the internet? Do you have any creative ideas in the works? Are you excited to make the first move? Are you committed to influencing the digital era? Then you want to submit an application for the ZEISS Women Award 2023.
The ZEISS Women Award encourages more women to seek careers in digital and information technology by recognizing deserving female graduates and students in these fields. Female graduates who already hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree, as well as diplomas from the winter semesters of 2022–2023, are about to graduate, or who are just beginning, revising, or waiting for the results of their final thesis, may still apply.
Awards
The three first-place ZEISS Women Award winners each receive a different sum in cash.
- Prize money: €8,000.
- Runner-up: €5,000
- Third place: €3,000
Eligibility
- You are pursuing a degree in IT and digital media.
- You already hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree, as well as a diploma from the winter semester of 2022–2023. You are also currently completing your thesis, editing it, or are awaiting the results of your final examination.
- You are dedicated to going above and above, pursuing your passion via your studies, and wanting to actively influence the direction of the digital & IT industry.
Application
Application files contain:
- Brief covering letter, no longer than 1.5 DIN A4 pages: What inspires you to follow your love for IT and digital media?
- Resume
- An abstract or a brief statement of the topic of your thesis that includes the name of your advisor
- Overview of your current grade along with your (anticipated) final grade
