Fellows join a distinctively interdisciplinary and creative community from their residence in Radcliffe Yard, a sanctuary in the center of Harvard University. A Radcliffe fellowship offers the chance to take a break from daily activities and focus intently on a topic. With access to Harvard’s unmatched resources, Radcliffe fellows create novel tools and techniques, question accepted ideas in the humanities, and shed light on both the Institute’s past and their own present.

They are open to suggestions that are pertinent to the Institute’s areas of interest, which include:

They seek proposals that concentrate on women, gender, and society or make use of the extensive Schlesinger Library resources because they reflect Radcliffe’s distinctive history and institutional legacy.
Climate change and its effects on people, particularly initiatives that deal with the disproportionate effects of the climate catastrophe on underserved or underprivileged communities
the effects of slavery
