The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) Young Feminist Summer Camp – AGORA 2023 is currently accepting applications. Young feminists from all around Europe are brought to Brussels by the EWL program AGORA for a five-day meeting to discuss, explore, and learn from one another about feminism. The following AGORA will be held from September 4–8, 2023, and EWL is currently recruiting participants.

Any young woman who wants to interact with other young feminists and is between the ages of 18 and 30 (at the time of the AGORA) is welcome to participate in the program. They want to provide a forum for young women to interact, bridge gaps, inspire and be inspired, deepen bonds, develop skills, and hear the perspectives of other young feminists through a 5-day participation summer camp. By providing a forum for them to exchange experience, information, and ideas, the mission of EWL is to enable young European feminists to take on leadership roles as activists in a changing society.
Regarding the EWL
The largest umbrella network of women’s organizations in Europe, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL), represents the variety of women and girls across Europe. For a total of more than 2,000 women’s organizations in Europe, the EWL currently has 32 national coordinating organizations in countries inside the EU, in candidate countries, in former EU Member States, and in the European Free Trade Association, in addition to 17 members on a global level.
In support of women’s rights and gender equality in the European Union, EWL works with its members to advance a feminist Europe. The EWL envisions a society in which all women have self-confidence, freedom of choice, and are free from violence and exploitation, and no woman or girl is left behind. Women’s contributions to all facets of life are recognized, honored, and celebrated, including leadership, caregiving, and production.
Eligibility
To be qualified:
- You are a feminist woman between the ages of 18 and 30 (at the time of the camp); You have involvement in women’s rights and/or gender equality action;
- Currently residing within the European Union;
- Your English is at a good level (B2).
- As an intersectional feminist group, EWL is dedicated to planning a summer camp that reflects and incorporates activities that adequately represent the variety of Europe.
- Women of color, those from ethnic minorities, those with disabilities, members of the LGBTQI community, and those from underrepresented groups are all particularly urged to apply.
Application
They want to know in the application form how committed you are to feminism and women’s rights, whether through general activism, volunteerism or paid labor, academic pursuits or any other endeavors. They are seeking young feminists with a variety of backgrounds and experiences who are passionate and committed.
