Requirements
- You must be a citizen of a Commonwealth nation and be 27 years of age or under when applications are due in order to be considered.
- You must possess a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent, in a relevant field and have at least one year of experience designing and implementing initiatives or programs related to democracy or development.

- The acquisition of a UK Temporary Worker-International Agreement visa is a requirement for a YP’s employment. The contractual offer shall be void if the visa cannot be obtained. When the YP’s visa expires, they must depart the UK. Only the YP is eligible to receive a visa under the terms of the UK’s Temporary Worker-International Agreement visa. The sponsorship of any visas for the YP’s accompanying spouses or dependents will not be the responsibility of the Secretariat.
