Requirements
- The ICCROM is seeking 20 innovative business minds who have a few years of experience as cultural entrepreneurs, are inspiring and creative, are leaders and risk-takers in their nation’s cultural heritage and creative industries, and are committed to transforming and advancing the sustainability of the creative and cultural sector.
This program aims to support, mentor, and empower cultural entrepreneurs. It will primarily contribute to the creation of a forum for discussion and exchange, the sharing of effective models and techniques, and the discovery of new sources of inspiration for ventures. - The program’s outline focuses on how culture and cultural heritage serve as an engine for local and regional development by emphasizing employment, social inclusion, and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector, in line with the main goal of the Youth.Heritage.Africa program, as well as improving the skills of Italian and foreign professionals and internationalizing Italian cultural institutions, in line with the goals of the Fondazione.
- Young Africans and Italians who are interested in developing their entrepreneurial skills in the fields of cultural heritage industries might consider participating in Undertaking Business in Culture. The program will be distinguished by learning-by-doing and peer-to-peer approach through training and mentoring actions, with the opportunity to meet and network with other young entrepreneurs, thereby developing an international community of practice.
- The program will give young entrepreneurs in the cultural sector the training and assistance they need to advance in five crucial cluster topics over the course of an online training module, spread over 11 weeks, from September to December 2023: business modeling and planning for the cultural and creative sector, fundraising and sponsorship, start-up incubators counseling, sustainability and community involvement in creative and culture sector, marketing and communicative
English will be the language of operation. There will be no fees associated with the course.
