Concerning the Organization
In order to advance the cause of climate neutrality in Germany, Europe, and the rest of the globe, Agora Energiewende is a think tank that creates fact-based and politically viable ideas. While promoting a beneficial flow of ideas, we provide policymakers, economists, academics, and members of civil society with information. Our policy recommendations are doable and unconstrained by previous ideologies. Since we are a non-profit organization supported by foundations and government agencies, neither business nor politics have any influence over us. Serving the climate is the only goal we have.

The Fellowship’s mission
In order to address global climate challenges and influence the energy systems of the future, knowledgeable specialists are essential. Energy policy is essentially a national policy, however there are many aspects of national energy transitions that are universal, including low carbon technology, traded energy commodities, best practices for regulatory principles, market structure, and more.
The following training programs, which can be combined or taken separately, are offered by Agora Energiewende and its affiliates at the Renewables Academy (RENAC) to promote global competence and knowledge transfer. The trainings are primarily intended for energy transition policy specialists who work for or are connected to a think tank or other non-governmental organization that is active in the subject of energy transition. The larger target group includes experts from civil society organizations and/or university groups investigating energy policy or other relevant fields.
Positions
Eight fellows are invited to visit the Agora Energiewende office in Berlin, Germany, in a small group. While taking part in training courses that are developed and led by Agora Energiewende energy experts, each fellow continues to work half-time for their home institution.
These multidisciplinary sessions cover a range of subjects, including research methodology, power system adaptability, and energy markets. Each of these sessions is supplemented by reading materials, online resources, and group discussions.
Each fellow addresses a particular transformation topic of their choice with the help of their Agora Energiewende mentors. In order to apply the lessons learned to the fellow’s domestic job, the topic should be pertinent from the standpoint of their own organization.
