Young people have the ability to participate in and contribute to humanitarian responses on the African continent through the AU Humanitarian Youth Forum, which is fully supported. The forum aims to improve the manner in which aid is provided in Africa, foster youth leadership and ownership of humanitarian concerns, and inspire African youth to take concrete steps toward humanitarian development.

Participants will get the opportunity to become familiar with the functions and mission of the African Humanitarian Agency and to interact meaningfully with other young delegates from all around the continent. This is a chance you won’t want to pass up if you’re enthusiastic about changing your neighbourhood and the world.
Eligibility requirements
- a proven track record of significant young engagement in humanitarian and social development initiatives on a national, continental, and international level.
- socially active, with a keen interest in the discussion of humanitarian issues and development challenges.
- Possibility of writing a young position paper on youth humanitarian affairs topics.
- involvement with youth-led organizations, networks, or movements; experience in youth engagement.
- knowledge of any AU language.
- possess a passport that is not more than six months from expiration.
- being an African living in the Diaspora or in any African country.
- age range of 18 to 35 at the time of application.
