Application
The following information must be provided in order to apply:

- Methodology: Include your method for fact-checking or independently verifying the data that will be used in your reporting and describe your approach to data collection, analysis, and reporting. (The publishing partner may be tasked with fact-checking and data verification; however, clearly describe the procedure.)
- a rough budget estimate including a cost breakdown at the very least. Include any associated travel, software, hardware, satellite, or GIS costs. Stipends for journalists or team members who work for newsrooms or are compensated by publishers should not be included. Include consultancy fees in your budget if you are a journalist working with a data designer and/or data visual specialist.
- Three samples (links) of your published work, or the work of another member of your project team. Infographics, data visualizations, and/or data-driven tales are a few examples.
- three references from the workforce. These could be letters of recommendation or contact details.
- a duplicate of your curriculum vitae or CV.
- Applications may optionally contain a more thorough explanation of the idea, however this will only be taken into consideration as an optional addition. The methodology and the 250-word summary are the two most crucial sections of the proposal.
Any size and scope of a project will be considered. Only one project should be submitted per journalist, data design team, or newsroom, and the proposal should be submitted by the team leader.
