Young graduate with a passion for international relations? Do you want to know more about how a diplomatic mission operates and how the EU Delegation upholds EU ideals and interests in Uganda?
Starting in June 2023, a traineeship lasting up to six months will be available at the EU Delegation to Uganda’s Cooperation Section.

Typical tasks
- Conduct informational research and analysis; Participate in the creation of analytical studies and briefings on cooperation-related issues;
- co-ordinate and assemble information and contributions from the cooperation departments of EU Member States;
- assistance with event planning that is done by the Delegation;
- Attend activities and meetings outside of your immediate area and report on them.
Requirements
- Only applicants who are presently liveing in Uganda will be taken into consideration, taking into account the local health and security conditions.
- a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in political science, economics, social science, communications, or any subject area associated with EU engagement in Uganda;
- very strong written and verbal English mastery;
- highly driven, eager to learn, and able to collaborate with people from different backgrounds;
- strong sense of initiative, writing, research, and analytical abilities;
- possessing proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from Microsoft Office;
- evidence of interest in socioeconomic development, development cooperation, or international relations;
- Understanding the institutional structure and environment of Uganda would be advantageous.
