On the initiative of Royal DSM, the Brighter Living Foundation, officially known as the Stichting Royal DSM – Brighter Living, was created in 2018. In keeping with DSM’s mission to improve the lives of everyone and the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, the Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes the health of people and the environment.

Four influential young leaders will be provided by the DSM Better Living Foundation to attend the One Young World Summit 2023, which will be held in Belfast, United Kingdom, from October 2 to October 5.
Young entrepreneurs who are having a local or global effect on agri-food systems in one of three emphasis areas are encouraged to apply for the DSM Better Living Foundation – One Young World Scholarship.

- People’s Health
- Requirements for Healthy Livelihoods Scholarships
The following types of candidates are encouraged to apply:
- ages 18 to 30.
- reside in Latin America, Asia, or Africa.
- have three to five years’ experience working in the agri-food industry, ideally managing their own food business.
- are having a good influence in one of the three areas where the scholarship is focused.
