The EU provides financing for strengthening training and research in African institutions under the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme (1st November 2017 until 31st October 2023). In this mobility program, five African partner institutions and one technical partner from the EU started training professionals to manage fisheries and aquaculture resources sustainably, resulting in increased fish production, improved food and nutritional security, and ultimately improved livelihood and household income. In the various partner universities, the curriculum is now prepared to support training of Academic and Administrative Staff. Before September 29, 2022, COTRA has issued a call for applications from qualified academic and administrative staff for the jobs listed in Tables 1 and 2. For staff mobility programs (academic and administrative), within COTRA, in any of the partner universities, namely Makerere University (Uganda), Rhodes University (South Africa), Mzuzu University (Malawi), Official University of Bukavu (Congo), and University of Eldoret, applications are being accepted from qualified staff members (Kenya).
Eligibility
In order to qualify for COTRA sponsorship, applicants must:
Be an employee of one of the partner institutions and a citizen of an African Union member state who was residing in Africa at the time of application.
Be willing to relocate from their own nation to one where COTRA has a partner institution.
Requirements for all applicants
i) Those who apply must work for one of the partner institutions.
ii) Applicants may only submit an application for training at a facility outside of their home nations.
iii) Female applicants and those with impairments are especially encouraged to submit applications.
iv) Applicants must submit fully completed scholarship application forms through email, which are accessible online at http://cotraintra-africa.org/year-five-application-intra-african-academic-mobility-callscholarships-year-202223.
