18 Young Innovators are being recruited by the UNFPA and UN Volunteers.
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) are seeking applications for the Young Innovators Fellowship Program’s third cohort for 2022. The deadline for applications is March 20, 2022.
Concerning the program
The Young Innovators Fellowship Program gives young individuals (aged 18–26) from UNFPA-supported program nations the chance to participate in a structured eight-month program that focuses on driving innovation, creativity, and capacity development, as well as delivering tangible results for UNFPA.
The Fellowship Programme brings 18 young professionals into UNFPA with a specific focus on giving a younger perspective and fostering innovation in UNFPA’s priority areas, such as solving unmet family planning needs, Putting an end to maternal fatalities that are preventable, as well as violence against women and girls.
For the next eight months, the Young Innovators will serve as National Youth UN Volunteers. The Young Innovators will be invited to an online induction training hosted by UNFPA at the start of the assignment. They will attend a three-day capstone presentation session at UNFPA headquarters at the end of their assignment to share their experiences and achievements and receive Young Innovators certificates. The trip plans are contingent on the COVID-19 pandemic condition.
