Applications are open for the Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy 2026. The Allan Gray Makers StartUp Academy is an 8-month incubation programme. It is designed to offer entrepreneurship coaching and complete help to aspiring artisan entrepreneurs aiming to ascertain new companies within the bricklaying, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing trades.
The programme begins mid-April 2026 and lasts 8 months, throughout which period members will obtain the help and sources wanted to assist launch and develop their enterprise.
Benefits
- Participants will obtain a transport allowance of R3,000 monthly to assist cowl prices related to attending the programme.
Eligibility
- Applicants needs to be aged between 18-35.
- Relevant commerce: Bricklaying/Carpentry/Electrical/Plumbing.
- Unemployed or self-employed (not finding out full-time).
- Qualified bricklayer, carpenter, electrician or plumber with a commerce check.
- OR, have 3 years work expertise within the related commerce and are able to take the commerce check.
- OR, N2 Certificate and three years work expertise in both the bricklaying, carpentry, electrical or plumbing commerce.
