Applications are open for the AI for Climate Action Award 2025. The AI for Climate Action Award have fun the facility of individuals and AI in the face of our planet’s biggest problem. Eligibility

• Anyone above the age of 18 years, with an open-supply, AI-powered local weather resolution developed in or for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or Small Island Developing States (SIDS) is inspired to apply.
• Applications are welcome from people, groups, begin-ups, organizations, or another sort of entity.

Evaluation Criteria

The analysis of submissions will probably be based mostly on the next standards:

• Relevance: The suitability and scalability of the proposed resolution in LDCs and SIDS.
• Impact: The potential of the answer to improve local weather resilience and/or cut back greenhouse fuel emissions. Preference will probably be given to tasks which have demonstrated measurable outcomes or a clearly outlined pathway to vital affect.
• Inclusive management: Special consideration will probably be given to options which can be led by ladies, recognizing the significance of inclusive management in driving equitable local weather motion.
• Origin: Solutions originating from LDCs or SIDS will obtain constructive consideration.
• Alignment: Solutions that may help actions and areas of labor in the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism Joint Work Programme 2023-2027.
• Open-source: To what extent does the open-supply nature of the answer align with the baseline necessities for recognition as a digital public good?
