The Social Relief of Distress Grant
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is administered in terms of app-section 32 of the Social Assistance Act, 2004 (Act No. 13 of 2004) and is implemented with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance.
The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is meant for South African Citizens, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years, who have insufficient means, who do not receive social grants on behalf of herself/ himself or who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment, and have no financial support from any other source.

The SASSA announces that the R350 Grant application deadline is April 30th, 2023. So, interested candidates should submit their applications as soon as possible before the deadline of April 30, 2023.
Only a few days remain to submit an application for the SASSA’s Special Relief of Distress grant, which provides recipients with R350 each month. If applicants don’t receive their social aid payments, they should get in touch with the SASSA offices.
The deadline for SASSA’s R350 grant applications is April 30, 2023. In order to qualify for the SASSA Special Relief of Distress (SRD) Submit your grant applications by 30th April 2023.

If you’ve already applied and been accepted, all that’s left to do is wait for payment. If applicants have not yet received their social aid payments, they are urged to get in touch with the SASSA offices.
In the event of non-payment, SASSA applicants are must check the status of their applications oftenly.
The agency has put it clearly that money payment will happen on a specific day. They will compensate the applicants as long as they are eligible.
Payments will start coming in the month you applied.
A National State of Disaster was declared by the President as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this context, he proposed a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month, which will be given to people who are presently jobless and receive no other income, social grants, UIF payments, etc.
